Restorative Touch
Restorative Touch | Sound Therapy | PEMF

Restorative Touch is a gentle, individualized wellness session centered on intentional touch, presence, and energy work.
Sound Therapy or PEMF provide the frequency foundation for each session. Depending on your needs and preferences, your session may include Restorative Touch, sound instruments, PEMF, or a combination of all three.
Restorative Touch
Restorative Touch energy work uses gentle contact to support a sense of calm, grounding, and ease. Each person lies comfortably on a massage table, fully clothed, with blankets and pillows for comfort. Touch may be offered through light contact, or with the hands resting just above the body. Each session is guided intuitively and by your needs/preferences.
My approach is informed by many years of studying and practicing energy work, including Reiki, Healing Touch, Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy, and sound-based practices. I am a former Reiki Master Practioner & Teacher, but no longer practice or channel Reiki specifically.
Restorative Touch may be a good fit if you:
-
want dedicated time for rest and restoration
-
prefer gentle touch rather than massage
-
enjoy sound, vibration, or frequency-based practices
-
are curious about energy work, PEMF, or sound therapy
-
appreciate a quiet, supportive environment
-
enjoy complementary wellness practices
-
would like to slow down and receive
Add-ons to your Restorative Touch Session:
1. Sound Therapy
Sound therapy provides one of the frequency foundations for a Restorative Touch session. My training includes advanced tuning-fork sound therapy, and sessions include therapeutic tuning forks, singing bowls, and other sound instruments. The sounds and vibrations help create an immersive, peaceful environment for rest. The nervous system relaxes and grounds, the parasympathetic nervous system activates (rest and digests), and the body prepares for deep rest and restoration.
Sound may be used throughout the session or at certain points to support transitions and relaxation.
2. PEMF
PEMF, or Pulsed Electromagnetic Field therapy, provides another possible frequency foundation for your session. PEMF uses pulsed electromagnetic fields delivered through a specialized mat while you rest comfortably. I have personally used PEMF since 2018 and have found it to be a meaningful part of my own wellness practice.
During a session you simply lie comfortably on the PEMF mat while the system runs . Most people do not feel anything from the electromagnetic fields, although some people notice subtle sensations such as tingling or a wave-like feeling. Others simply experience relaxation or a sense of being energized. The PEMF portion of the session is 25 minutes, followed by restorative touch. If PEMF is not appropriate for you or you prefer not to use it, sound therapy can provide the frequency foundation for your session instead.

PEMF Safety: PEMF is not for everyone. Please discuss PEMF with your healthcare provider before a session if you have a medical condition or any concern about whether electromagnetic fields are appropriate for you. PEMF should not be used during pregnancy, with pacemakers or other implanted electrical devices, with active bleeding, or in certain other medical circumstances. The PEMF system has a 350 pound weight limit. If you are unsure if PEMF is appropriate for you, simply leave it out of your session and choose sound therapy.
